The favorite

Cette toile représente un nu féminin au premier plan et d'autres nus féminins en arrière plan. Ma motivation pour cette toile est de montrer la beauté du corps féminin, son animalité. J'ai aussi voulu transmettre une certaine émotion, au travers des postures des personnages et de leur disposition les uns par rapport aux autres. En effet, les teintes chaudes du personnage principal focalisent l'attention, et contrastent avec les couleurs froides des personnages secondaires. Ces derniers regardent avec jalousie cette beauté exotique, la favorite, à qui l'on a offert un bijou.
Pour le décor, j'ai travaillé à la brosse plate en touches vigoureuses, pour contrecarrer l'effet un peu "figé" des personnages.

This painting represents a female nude in the foreground and other female nudes in the background. My motivation for this painting is to show the beauty of the female body, its animality. I also wanted to convey a certain emotion, through the postures of the characters and their arrangement in relation to each other. Indeed, the warm colors of the main character focus the attention, and contrast with the cold colors of the secondary characters. The latter watch with jealousy this exotic beauty, the favorite, who has been offered a jewel.
For the decor, I worked vigorously with a flat brush, to counteract the somewhat "frozen" effect of the characters.
