The kidnapping

Il s'agit d'une toile de grand format rectangulaire réalisée à l'acrylique. Elle représente une scène d'inspiration rupestre dans laquelle on voit deux tribus rivales s'affronter pour une femme. Dans cette œuvre, j'ai voulu exprimer la tension d'un conflit qui éclate, au travers du mouvement des personnages et des couleurs antagonistes. L'enlèvement des femmes dans les tribus primitives est une pratique ancestrale, un clin d'œil également à l'œuvre du peintre Nicolas Poussin - l'enlèvement des Sabines.
Pour cette toile, j'ai utilisé la technique de l'empâtement pour imiter la surface d'une paroi rocheuse.

This is a large rectangular canvas made with acrylic. It depicts a rock-inspired scene in which we see two rival tribes fighting over a woman. In this work, I wanted to express the tension of an erupting conflict, through the movement of characters and antagonistic colors. The abduction of women in primitive tribes is an ancestral practice, a nod also to the work of the painter Nicolas Poussin - the abduction of the Sabines.
For this canvas, I used the impasto technique to imitate the surface of a rock face.
